Gloomy
A perfect day for exploring Norwich Castle then dashing through the rain for dinner at the Belgian Monk. I'm never entirely sure about the Castle - the first time I visited I thought it was fairly ordinary, but it's been growing on me, and I quite enjoy the different exhibitions, particularly the history of the castle as a prison in the keep.
I spent my morning writing an application and doing other admin type things, while my parents went around Norwich on the hop on hop off bus. They loved Dragon Hall (who wouldn't?), and were still exploring it when I called after lunch. We met up at the Castle and spent the rainy afternoon discovering some of its secrets, but by closing time the rain and wind were really settling in and it was time for the dash across the Markets. The Belgian Monk never fails to satisfy, and after meals of meatballs, mussels and sausages accompanied by Belgian beer we were feeling warm and dry again.
