No rush

A rare double-day weekend for both of us began with a trip to the cinema on Friday evening to see Rush, a film we enjoyed, partly I think because we can remember well the events portrayed. Some fine cinematography too.

I read somewhere that James Hunt, the motor racing superstar who featured in the film is reputed to have had sex with 5,000 different women, including the occasional air hostess (OK dodgy source, Daily Mail, but who was counting?). That's some going given he died of a heart attack aged 45 after overdosing on the good things in life. Yes, I hear you say, but was he happy?

A gentle walk near Ripley today. I'm happy with that!

There's a documentary on the Hunt/Lauda rivalry tonight (BBC 2, 7 pm) should anyone be remotely interested.
