Plane Food Turkish Style!
Today we are flying to Keyseri on Turkish Airlines flight 2020. I am always a bit squeamish about flying unfamiliar airlines, but Turkish Airlines (according to their blurb) has been awarded "Best European Airline" for the past 3 years. I think I can see why.
We are flying an airbus 320 which looks pretty new, and has wide seats with plenty of padding and lots of legroom in economy. Our flight is meant to be just over an hour, but they have brought everyone a "picnic" in a cardboard box with a wicker pattern on it and little string handles! Inside is a pot of eggplant with tomato sauce for appetiser, a rather good turkey and salad sandwich on a wholemeal roll and a very nice pot of pannacotta.
I am rather impressed, and am kicking myself for not opting for the Dulles - Istanbul non-stop flight on Turkish airlines that was not only cheaper, but had better timings. You live and learn!
