He knew!

I know it's not the most flattering pic to choose for today's blip but it was from a moment that made me smile.

We met up with friends for a pub lunch at the Maynard today. Charlie slept for the first half hour or so then I sat him with me when he woke up as he looked a bit shell shocked to be confronted by so many 'extra' people (Ari, Rose, Dan and Rose's sis).

I put the front facing camera up on my phone to entertain him and Rose jumped into the shot. Rather than look at her on screen, Charlie turned round to look at her next to him. This really delighted Dr Rose as he clearly understood where she actually was in relation to him (and he recognised himself!) I did tell her that thanks to blip he's had a camera phone in his face since the day he was born, but she was still surprised :)

Lunch was lovely (belly pork roast. Yum!) as was the conversation. We stayed right up until Charlie's tea time. Unfortunately his cold is still playing its nasty side effects on him so we had to do a diva-style outfit change halfway through. It's like having a new born again. I really regret buying size 3 nappies and not 4's. Note to self: stop being tight!
