Intrepid Explorers

For our second full day we cycled the full circumference of Lac Annecy. It was never the plan - we were only going to cycle (in the rain) from the campsite at Sevrier up to Annecy and eat our home made sandwiches (in the rain). But one more nudge, one more challenge, and we were nearly half way around, and then there were too many hills to dare going bank to face.

We did 43km over five hours, and when you see us here we're beginning the final stretch of bike path on the western side of the lake. By this point our legs were on fire, but there were still unusual sights to see. One of which was a restored munitions train, which clearly once travelled the route now used by the western path.
