Cosmopolitan

We actually spent 23 hours travelling today (or was it yesterday?) - a journey that ended with a hair-raising drive from the airport in Albany, NY, to our city centre hotel, in the hands of a crazy taxi driver.

During our two-hour stopover at Detroit we found a martini bar opposite our gate and treated ourselves to a couple of Cosmopolitans - I'm not sure we needed a plane to fly the rest of the way!

But we arrived finally to beautiful weather and an amazing harvest moon rising in the sky as night fell. Our hotel is excellent, and I'm really looking forward to the start of Bouchercon.
