A slightly better night's sleep
I've said it before that its funny how a little one seems to sleep and wake at such similar times on their own, without knowing. Like last night, Eva was in bed asleep for a similar time to the night before, woke at 11.30 pm and 2 am again like the night before, but this time she went straight back to sleep after a top up feed. She then woke around 5 am and then didn't wake til 9.30 am, which also woke me up, so we both got a lie in even if we were awake throughout the night. So it was a better night than the night before. She did still wake, but at least she went straight back to sleep each time. We are still doing baby led weaning and Eva is still not swallowing anything really, so Mike keeps saying maybe we should give her some mush and maybe she wouldn't wake as she'd be more full. I'm so torn as I really want to persevere with the BLW, and everyone who's done BLW says it wouldn't make any difference if she was eating, she'd still probably wake like she is doing. I don't want to give up with it but sometimes it seems like it may be easier. Not ready to give up yet.
We met Louise and baby Rhys at Musical Babies at 1.30 which Eva loves. She even let out a few happy squeals there :-)
We went round my mom and Peter's after, and David took today's pic for me of Eva having a sleep and snuggles on my lap. Absolutely love snuggles with my babba girl.
Mike bathed her tonight, then she was fed and asleep in bed by about 8 pm. She keeps falling straight to sleep when I first feed her, so I put her to bed, then go back up when she wakes, usually about 20 minutes later, to carry on her feed and put her back to bed again, then she falls asleep again, so I'm normally trying to wind her while she's asleep, so end up going back up to wind her when she cries after being in bed again for a while.
It's 10pm as I write this and she's still fast asleep.
Sleep well tonight my darling girl xxxxx
