Archive - and stupidity

Some of the pile of notebooks that I have kept since I started in this job back in March 2010.

Even though most of my work is done on computer there is still the need for putting pen to paper, taking notes, drafting ideas. For some things only pen and paper will do. And it's actually quite surprising how often I refer back to one or other of these notebooks.

On my way to work this morning I stopped to photograph the shadows of leaves and sunlight on a piece of wood which had been used to close off a disused brick storage space to post as my blip for today but decided against it when I read what had been scrawled across the wood in black marker pen.

'Vote EDL' - Vote? for the EDL? The English Defence League aren't even a political party, just a bunch of racist thugs.

I took the photo anyway, just in case the city council need to see it to back up my request to them to get the scrawl removed. It being on council property. And me being a ratepayer.
