Beautiful Beets

These beautiful beets have been cooked and cut in pieces, ready to be changed into beet pickles. They are such a rosy and perfect hue of red and light red and dark red. I know that many people don't even like beets or they may think why take a picture of a simple vegetable such as this. But look at the color. these beautiful beets grew in my friends garden. We pulled them and washed them and peeled them and cooked them. Tomorrow they will be pickles. Yum.
