Nothing of note today

A day spent contemplating options. Both lab work wise and career wise.

Applied to some jobs. Including firing off resume to HR depts of local biotech in the faint hope that they at least look at it and file it somewhere other than the bin. Also applied to business analyst job. I seem to remember management consultants like Phd people and especially scientists as we have to correct skill set. Although after some Internet searching i still can't work out what the day to day job involves. Still it must be better than this.

A grad student in the lab gave a talk on his project today. To be honest it's full of holes. My boss likes to paper over the cracks and at the moment he is being very contradictory saying one thing for his work and something completely different for mine. It's so frustrating.

Came home and dropped mum at her second attempt at tennis coaching. She isn't back yet so either she is lost or its on this time. I went to the gym for the first time in ages and I was crap and it was packed.

After not avoiding the utd score, watching the less attractive city fixture instead.

Pick the wife up from Chicago tonight. Roll on Friday
