h.Arts Bridget Drakeford, potter

The penultimate day of the wonderful h.Arts Art Week, which has proved to be an inspiring and fascinating journey, meeting numerous talented artists. A curious rule of thumb emerged, that the best artists are to be found up a hidden lane, adding to the surprise and delight.
Bridget Drakeford's farm was unusually easy to find, just off the main road, but was easily one of the best galleries, as she displayed her porcelain pieces with friends who made furniture, paintings, tapestry and silverware.
Bridget radiated the kind of intelligence and creativity that marks the best artists. A potter ("ceramicist is an American word... ") for over 20 years, and exhibitions in London, her fine vases and pots deservedly collectors items. A successful artist in an unknown farm, until h.Arts week let's us make these discoveries.
