Caer Amon

I took AmBioranBeag to the opening event of the Edinburgh Book Festival this morning (Harry and the Dinosaurs 10th Anniversary). It was chucking down cats and dogs when we arrived off the bus and the sight of the Soweto Gospel choir in full swing welcoming us into the gardens added a surreal touch. The queue of patient parents and impatient imps looked like a sorry family of drowned rats. August in Edinburgh!

Later after the weather improved, we took a short walk along the brown River Almond which was sloshing dramatically into the sea at Cramond.
