Memories of Summer

Time for an admission. I'm prone to clutter and that's not good in a small house. The problem is, I keep acquiring things!! Today I made the effort to clear some of it, sorting out some unwanted Christmas presents (yes, they'd been sat in a bag!) for the charity shop.

It also meant that I finally got round to emptying the bag of bits from my summer travels. I had such a lovely time and these things have a lot of good memories attached them.

So here's a whistlestop tour of my summer!

Zog and Charlie Cook's Favourite Books - both illustrated by Alex Scheffler. A reminder of the day at Nunnington Hall.

Birdfair of course - a beautiful print of a Starling murmuration and a wildlife gardening book. Not to mention the Guatemalan worry dolls and Piglet pen from one of my Twitpals!!

I loves the 'Diff bag, 'Cwtch me if you can' mug and postcards from the Mogul art exhibition - a great 2 days with Pontycyclops and Dawn.

The tape measure used to measure ValleyAllBlack's garden - yes the design WILL be done. Promise!

Souvenirs from the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Hamlet seen with ValleyAllBlack.

And last, but by no means least, memories of a wonderful time on the Welsh border, including a visit to Gigrin to see the Red Kites.

It's always hard coming back to reality after good times and I was pretty low when I got home. But now I can look at these things and smile about happy times.
