It's all about the Cake!

Bit of a lie in after a very lovely night. We all felt better after a breakfast of bacon, pancakes and maple syrup. Some us even had sausages and black pudding but we needed the sustenance to give us the energy required to face the afternoon task of clearing out the hell hole games room.

Over a year we've been here and it was still full of unopened boxes as well as piles of other stuff we've accumulated since we moved here.

After numerous trips to the tip, piles of stuff to the loft, bags of stuff to the garage to go to the charity shop as well as other bits and pieces distributed to other parts of the house, the room was almost clear. At last we can see the snooker table again and the carpet. Just a few boxes of paperwork left that D and I need to go through although I suspect it will all get shredded.

The thought of homemade birthday cake kept us going and by 6pm we were done.

Later on a Chinese takeaway with feet up watching the X Factor was lovely.
