Garden Visitors

The weather here is so different from yesterday, we have blue skies and sunshine - summer has returned, bringing with it lots of butterflies and a surprise guest. I couldn't decide which one to post so I thought I would treat you to all of them.

My back (while far from better) felt a little easier today so I thought I would risk a short walk. I managed a very slow stroll along the lane at the back of the house, with the sun on my face it was lovely. I took my compact with me but kept getting frustrated because all the insects seemed to be low down and I couldn't get to them but I did get a few pictures which I thought I could use. When I had been home a while I noticed that there were several butterflies after the last couple of flowers on the buddleia, so I nipped into the garden to see what I could get. It was then that I noticed the little hedgehog rooting about at the back, looking for food. I took a couple of shots of him and put down some hedgehog food where I had seen him, I really hope he comes back and fills up several times because he was quite small, I will keep his little bowl topped up and hope he does :-))
