Free Puppies

This cute puppy named Zoe, part Australian collie and part Corgi, arrived three days ago via the Internet to a waiting family. Their old family dog died and the young (very) woman holding the puppy had found a site online that was giving away puppies for FREE.
I think Zoe's eyes are still blue.
I have just read an article or saw a slideshow on The Guardian about the growing problem of adopting puppies online. Never getting to see the living condition, meet the mother dog, etc. But people of the woman's age group --late teens to late 20's -- seem to be adopting like this a lot... at least in the UK. And nearly 1/3 of these puppies die within the first 8 months, to the heartbreak of the owners.
I mentioned this to the young woman. She says she has a Vet appointment next week. Hope it works out for her family because this is a darling little dog.
