A Sunday Stroll

I woke up early this morning and the sun was streaming in through the windows so I decided to get up and take Louis for a walk to the beach. Alan said he was still sleeping, and I knocked on Alison's door, but she didn't want to come either, so I got ready to go on my own, but by the time I was ready to leave Alan decided to come too. It was only 8.30am and there weren't too many people around, it was lovely. We walked along the under cliff path and stopped for Louis to play on the beach for a while, and then walked back through Rottingdean.

After breakfast we went into Brighton for the Ace Cafe Reunion - The Ace Cafe is in London and has been a meeting place for bikers for the last 75 years, and today they all rode to Brighton. There were hundreds of bikes of all different kinds, and the mods and the rockers met once again, although this time there wasn't any rivalry. There was even a guy there who owns a Lambretta and was in the movie Quadrophenia. He let me sit on it and I've put the photo in my blipfolio - now that's my kind of bike!

Unfortunately rain was forecast, and after the lovely start to the day it's now raining quite heavily with very strong winds, but we're back home and enjoying a nice bottle of rose - hope you're having a good Sunday!
