The Wardow Mires, 3 Stags Heads Pottery and Food Festival is one of the new events on the Peak District must go to events, and goes from the strength to strength. This year its second was super, the rain (which was forecast held off) and a great turnout was in evidence to see the work of Britains (and some european) best potters.
The festival aims to showcase pottery that has a practical use other than just ornate and aimed at the art world as Jeff Fuller and his wife Pat (the organisers) believe quite rightly that this is what the true meaning of pottery should be.
A great festival which is also on tomorrow so if you're looking for a great christmas gift pop along there's loads of super pots to buy.
