Grebes and frogs
It appeared to be a bad day for this frog after the pied-bill grebe came popping out of the water with the green guy clutched in its beak. But after swimming around juggling the frog, the grebe lost its hold and the frog made its escape. I was standing about 30 get away firing bursts, hoping to get a few keepers. This one made the cut because you can see the frog clearly.
We spent the morning at Tualatin NWR and in addition to the grebe, saw lots of nutria, several great blues, lots of frogs and my first ever Wilson's Snipe. Back home and am now waiting to Hubs to pull into the driveway!
Posted 8 pics on Flickr, nutria, frogs, heron, hummingbirds. Click HERE to have a look.
