A damp day's harvest..

A damp grey day with constant drizzle.

D turned up for some eggs, and salad. He's just got the croft next door but one, and is keen to see what we're doing with ours.. Showed him round to have a look. As he works offshore, he wants something he can leave to look after itself. Pigs and sheep.

A walk down the croft after to harvest Parsnips, Carrot, some Schorzonera, and Salsify. Tanni sits quietly while I do this, knowing she'll soon get a run on the beach, and a swim in the sea..

Lunch, and then bottle beer, before doing the rest of the harvest. Think they'll be pleased with that lot. Front wooden crates (L>R), Lettuce (Lollo Rosso, a green one and a dark red one), with some Spinach beyond, Brassica salads, and Chard. A small mushroom container of marigold flowers, blood veined sorrel, and corriander. Top row, some Carrots (for the delivery man), Salsify and Schorzonera, Parsnips, and Cucumbers and Courgettes.

Now waiting for the Fish man to come..
