Day 22 - President Obama Speaks, Washington DC

August 28th 1963 saw the 'March on Washington for Civil Rights' where Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous 'I have a dream' speech. Today is August 28th 2013 - exactly 50 years on.

The anniversary was celebrated in DC by huge crowds gathering in the rain to hear speeches from many people including MLK's son & sister, Oprah Winfrey, President Jimmy Carter, President Bill Clinton & closing with a speech from President Obama. And guess what? We were there! Note the Secret Service on the roof of the Lincoln Memorial.
