Learning day by day

Nursery Boy

I know my Blip on Thursday was William's first day at nursery, but there were only ten children there. Today was the real deal and thirty children. The first thing he wanted to know when he woke was where was his uniform! Luckily a friend has passed me a couple of t-shirts and a long sleeved top, so I could magic him some uniform. I wonder if he will be as excited about uniform next year?

No worries about Mummy leaving, I sat him down at a table with some pegs to peg and he was absorbed, I had to ask for a kiss bye bye. Carys and I then flew up the hill to school and actually it is quite do able, but we do definitely have to be at the front of the queue to get into nursery, we'd never make it if we were at the back of thirty odd kids.

Today was also the first time W had to come to the Drop-in with me since before he started at Goslings. We had had a chat about how Mummy needs to talk to the other Mummies and he is a big boy now who needs to eat his lunch and then play nicely without bothering me. Well I was extremely proud of him and told him so. He was great, only getting slightly demanding towards the end and that was fair enough as we had 11 Mums come and we were still there at 3pm, having started at 12.30 and we should have finished at 2pm!

Carys went to Rainbows happily and W and Daddy did bedtime so I could go out for a run. First time I have been caught in the rain in ages and I looked like a drowned rat when I got back!
