Pretty as a Painting

Tonight I headed for the river, it is my friends Birthday this week and I wanted to shoot some frames of the river to get something a little special as an early present for them. There was a chill wind whipping up the river, the birds cries carried like a haunting melancholic melody over the water.

The clouds seemed to signal an impending storm and as the sun arced away the brilliant hue of purples reds and oranges reflected from them, the sky looks like has been painted, like a watercolour of a heavy paper, I loved the colours, and te textures, I loved that it was you river and I love to share this little glimpse of home with my friend.

Tonight a lyric, disenfranchised from the shot but a reminder to my friend of times shared in this place

Has anyone ever written anything for you
In all your darkest hours
Have you ever heard me sing
Listen to me now
You know I'd rather be alone
Than be without you
Don't you know

Has anyone ever given anything to you
In your darkest hours
Did you ever give it back
Well, I have
I have given that to you
If it's all I ever do
This is your song

And the rain comes down
There's no pain and there's no doubt
It was easy to say
I believed in you everyday
If not for me
Then do it for the world

Has anyone ever written anything for you
In your darkest sorrow
Did you ever hear me sing
Listen to me now
You know I'd rather be alone
Than be without you
Don't you know

So, if not for me, then
Do it for yourself
If not for me then
Do it for the world
Poet... priest of nothing
Poet... priest of nothing

I hope you enjoy the river tonight, and excuse the indulgence of the lyric. Really best viewed in large
