Above North Berwick

We couldn't believe our good luck when we arrived at the Belhaven Camp site last night to discover we had the small tent field to ourselves, so you can imagine our shock and horror on arriving back from our cycle run today to discover that the 24 participants of Preston Lodge school doing their bronze Level of the Duke of Edinburgh award and 5 staff members had arrived with 14 more tents and a noise level off the scale.

However, despite finding ourselves in the middle of a regimental camp, we voted the day a success. We had a leisurely cycle run with coffee in Dunbar, lunch in Tyninghame, ice cream in North Berwick, supper in WestBarns and a nip of whisky back in the tent.

And that, my friends, is why cyclists rarely lose weight.
