Homeward Bound

After four days of the Club Triumph 10 Countries run today it was time to come home. We had a more leisurely start than the last few days leaving Holland after 9am to head for the ferry at Dunkirk. We got the 2pm ferry and arriving back in Dover were met with heavy rain, weather we seemed to have avoided whilst in Europe. A drive back to Newbury to drop off drivers and say goodbye to the Triumphs and suddenly we were back into our more usual car. Everything felt odd, strange how quickly you adapt and get tuned into driving something else. Particularly hard to adjust to were the brakes - in an old car you have to stand heavily on the brakes - doing that in our modern car nearly sent us through the windscreen!

On the way home we caught the Didcot chimneys as the sun set.

We've back-blipped all the daily photos from the trip, please check them out here.

10 Countries Run Day 1 - Calais to Grenoble
Day 2 - Grenoble to Cherasco
Day 3 - Cherasco to Rasthaus
Day 4 - Rasthaus to Rolduc

We have a lot of catching up to do, bear with us. Our trip in the Triumphs has raised over £1,500 for Prostate Cancer to date for our team - many thanks to all that have contributed, including the very lovely doodlebugs.
