Who you calling a slag?

Day 9 of HeartFreeks september challenge - On the road

I drive past this power station on the A453 in Nottinghamshire 4 or 5 times a year and am always fascinated by the changing shape and size of this slag heap. This is the highest I have seen it for a while but I dont know whether that is good or bad news.
There was talk a few years ago about some rare birds that had nested in it and the heaps location had to be moved until the birds had fledged.
There is a small river that runs alongside the cooling towers and I believe the biggest and best fish are to be caught there.
I also love the fact that there are dozens of pylons radiating out from this point looking like giant Martians striding across the countryside.
