Kingfisher

Decorating of the lounge finished, pictures back up, and furniture restored to its rightful place! A chance to pop out to the local nature reserve this afternoon, resulted in pictures of herons, nuthatch, wren, great tit, blue tit, dunnock, and others, and at last a good one of the kingfisher who appeared a few times towards the end of our visit. In fact I think I saw a kingfisher for more minutes today than I have in all my life before this point!.

I've known they were there for a while, had a few fleeting glimpses, but the real thing was impressive and better than hoped for. Certainly worth waiting for.
Now, if next time he could be a bit closer too that would be wonderful!
