Excursion à Quimper
Finally, a day off. They don’t seem to roll around as often as they should somehow…probably because we spend so much of our time working, it really is relentless. Anyhows, today we went Quimper with Thom’s family. As there were so many of us we decided to get the bus, which was such a great idea in hindsight, even if we only just managed to catch it! Makes things so much easier, especially since you don’t have to find parking in an unknown city and all that jazz. Admittedly there were a few hairy moments with clashes of siblings (ending up with Thom disappearing into the ether for a while, as I stayed with his mum and sister!) but all in all a lovely day. We ended up all wandering around quite a few shops and showing Thom’s parents the town. It was so nice to sit in the Café du Finistere in the sunshine and have a drink while watching the various people coming and going around the big square before getting the bus back.
Fajhitas with real cheddar was on the menu for tea! I’m sure that they don’t have cheddar cheese in Mexico, but they certainly don’t have it that much in France so it was an absolute pleasure to have it again! Unfortunately I was completely knackered by the end of the evening so had to bow out a little earlier than everyone else to get ready for bed, and ready for the next day of Kids Club and work.
