the dawn of another adventure

I'm back at the airport today, this time as a solo traveler. Hubby gets to stay home while I head to North Carolina for 5 days with three very special girlfriends!

We forged our friendship in the 1980s when were were mothers raising young children in a small town in rural Pennsylvania. You know, the kind of town with one grocery store and one school so we practically saw each other everywhere we went.

Well first one of us moved away, then another, and finally the third one, leaving only one left in town to keep us up on the news. So we started having annual reunions, in different cities around the country, taking turns organizing the details. And this year is our 20th reunion!
