Today we began our Lopez Island adventures at the Farmer's Market. Those in attendance kept commenting on how small it was, a little over a dozen stalls, but it didn't seem to matter to tourists and locals alike. The locals bought produce from either of the two sellers, while the tourists purchased from Island craftspeople. This woman was spinning yarn in front of her booth while waiting for customers. I had seen her the day before at one of the galleries we visited, but she looked much more at home here surrounded by her colorful fabrics. Beautiful weather again, so I rented a kayak so my wife and I could accompany our friends on the calm ocean water. After a full day of activity, we joined another set of friends at their home for a fabulous home cooked dinner.
