Small Bakes and No Shame
Piled into trusty Timmy today (once again, that's my '92 ford taurus - the most reliable man in my life..), and went to Kamloops with Emma, Ade, Sonja and Ellen. We went shopping, ate sushi, and tried on kids' helmets at Toys R Us..among other things.
Ade had a chiropractor's appointment, so while we waited for her, we naturally gravitated toward Toys R Us, right next door. Emma and I found a sky-bounce light up Spiderman ball, so obviously we had to buy it. Unfortunately, my excitement paired with a very bouncy ball resulted in it getting stuck on a third level shelf even my tall self can't reach. So, after awkwardly fishing above our heads with child-size hockey sticks for the ball and failing miserably, a less than enthusiastic salesman had to help us retrieve it.
Five minutes later, we're now terrorizing the kids' bike section, and we found the same poor soul to take a group photo of us. Think I'll wait a while until I enter that particular Toys R Us again.
After sushi we went to the cheap movie theatre downtown, and paid just $3.00 to see "We're the Millers." Yes. Three dollars. It's like 1980 down there. I love it.
After the movie we headed home, and while the other girls slept in the back seat, Emma and I chatted about everything, but mostly music. Music seems to dominate a lot of my conversations lately, but I guess I'm also starting to realized how much of a passion I have for it, despite my complete lack of musical talent, save for an "ok" singing voice. But I digress.
Anyways, a good day. Not a particularly special photo, but I'm with some great people in it, and it makes me smile every time.
