Empty beach.

I arrived at the beach late today but late is still better than not at all. It's cool and it is also the end of the season so there are no crowds, easy parking and except for the gulls squawking, very peaceful.
A coffee (full caffeine), a good book and a hooded sweatshirt make me one happy person right now. A soft easterly breeze is blowing off the water and the sun is warming my back. pure heaven.
I took this picture from the boardwalk shooting towards the beach. These beautiful flower pots have been blooming the entire summer. I love the color of the flowers and the way they look as if they are spilling over onto the beach.
I had babysitting duty all morning so I think I might even close my eyes for a well deserved little nap.
