Today's the day ..................... to marvel

I always find it incredible that the outdoor vine in our back garden produces anything at all.

But it always does - masses and masses of bunches of (admittedly small) black grapes. This year, it has completely excelled itself - I've never seen so many grapes in one place, on the one vine.

All we need now is a bit of a September Indian summer to ripen them all - and a foolproof way to stop the birds getting to them before we do ........................
