Almost, but not quite 2

Day 2 of the rally and I have chosen another "almost, but not quite" picture for today's blip.

This is almost a De Havilland Mosquito ... well it is to look at, but its not quite the real thing. In this case it is a very good scale replica (3/4 scale I think), and on the ground it is obviously smaller than the real thing but when flying it looks much more realistic.

It gave us a number of flypasts in the early afternoon and was a real treat. I understand it took about 17 years and thousands of volunteer hours to produce this replica and is painted in the colours of one that was lost in Norway in January 1945.

It is a real replica, an almost but not quite.

My aim is to be a real Christian, I wonder how often I'm more of a replica, an almost but not quite what I would like to be. But I know that the Father loves me and counts me as his child, even when I'm only 3/4 (or less) of what I would like to be.

One of my disappointments when I looked at my pictures of the weekend is the smudge that appears in the top right quarter of this (and every) picture that I took. Its not on the lens as after trial and experimentation I have found it occurs when I use the standard lens too, so it must be somewhere inside the camera. A bit like the things that spoil us too I guess. One day I'll get the camera sorted - one day we will be made perfectly clean too.
