Sock Thing...

What a blissful day! I had a long and lovely walk, went to church, made lunch and then knitted until I finished this sock. It’s a kind of weird pattern around the foot, but I quite like it. I hope it fits its recipient!

I bought the yarn for weaving but when I really looked at it, I decided it looked like the sea, sky and clouds or waves....so I’m knitting socks for Barbora, who stay in the house with me. She is Slovakian and is delightful! She is teaching me some Slovakian greetings and we have many laughs together and she is only staying here until 26th September. She is a month younger than Susan and is very good company for me!

I hope she will love the socks and that they will remind her of our many giggles and laughs - and of course of the sea and sun around Cumbrae! They may even remind her of my funny attempts to speak bits of Slovakian!

It was a lazy day and I revelled in my hours of extra time - I seem to be getting such a lot done and still have time to spend on myself! Yesssssssss. Perfect.
