Rose Hips

Does anyone remember gathering rose hips for school in the 1950s ? When we were in primary school all the children gathered rose hips and were paid coppers for them. They were sent away to be made into rose hip syrup for babies.We all tought we were doing a really good deed, even though we did squash some of them and put theem down our friends back - the itch drove everyone wild. Simple pastimes n the "good old days".

Today's blip, very early for me, shows how far on the hips are already- definitely early Autumn now.

Still working away on the shots from the Special Olympics, think I'll be working for days on these. Already sent off the first set so beginning to get there.
