How long? Oh Google©, How long?

From time to time I leap aboard either Google©earth or ditto-maps just to see how old their shots are.
For a      l   o   n   g    time after they started on the "New" squares it was still possible to "fly over" and see the town field and Southend road car park with never a sod turned.
You get the same shot in both the above but Maps claims
"Imagery ©DigitalGlobe........."
Earth, on the other hand, more honestly say
"Imagery Date 5/30/2009"
or, if you use the "proper" calendar 30/5/2009.
You ought to be looking at Sainsbury's and the squares complex by now, totally covering what was the local team's soccer pitch.
