Labor Day lunch

Two hummingbirds are still here feeding on ragged bee balm and the hanging feeders. I wake up each day expecting not to see them, but they are still hanging around, fattening up.

The green archway in the photo is from a self-seeded corn kernel, producing a small stalk of corn under the bird feeder. It must be from some food I bought for the squirrels.

For the Record,
This day came in with outrageously humid warmth, heavy rain, sun, clouds and yuck. Mostly dark and stormy on the last day of the end of summer three day holiday.
