My plan for today was to go to the RHS gardens at Harlow Carr. It was breezy but I stuck to the plan not thinking about the difficulty of photographing swaying plants. There were some pretty shots of borders but close ups were impossible. This is from one of the 'gardens through time' . Obviously purple painted walls were the trend in 2004!

My thanks to tom tom for navigating me there through Harrogate. I don't know why he couldn't take me back that way instead of country lanes.

It has been a crazy evening after a very concerned Aunt phoned. I was left with two choices - drive for one and a half hours up to Newcastle to check things out or ring 101. Did the latter and a lovely police person went and checked. Everything ok. Phew.

So, this is the first photo on the card that is not swaying in the wind. Hope you like purple.
