East of the Mountains

I live in the wet part of Washington state. This weekend, I drove over the Cascade Mountains to visit my sister in the arid and more rural part of the state in Wenatchee. We decided to do a 10 miles river loop trail that crossed the Columbia river. It was hot and bright outside and the hillsides were dramatic with the light just right.
