The New Arrival

A story board for Sunday!

Last evening we went for a late walk because Mrs M wanted to see the new arrival, he was nowhere to be seen but as we walked back I saw a black shape laying in the grass on its own being pecked by crows. Center of picture (No1).

On checking I saw it was the calf which promptly got to its feet and it had already been taged (No2) so we backed off and it took itself into the cover of some bushes.

This morning all the herd were out grazing and I saw the mother making a noise and heading for something (No3) which turned out to be the calf who was calling (No4)

Instead of stopping with its mother (No5) it took its self off (No6) the see one of the older calves (No7) which didn't please mum who soon sent the other one off (No8)

And where was Jinxy while all this was going on ?, he was sat watching with great interest (No9) and wondering why his walk had been held up.
