Soon to end

Boat, beach, hills, wind, rain, sun, then lunch at Annabel's. My companion telling me who lived and now live in every house we passed. Their names using their father's and sometimes their grandfather's name to distinguish them from all the others with the same surname e.g. Johnny Paddy Tadhg where Johnny is his first name, Paddy his father's first name and Tadhg his grandfather's first name.

My ramblings in West Cork will soon end as we return to Devon on Tuesday but the opportunities for much rambling will continue as I return home as a semi-retiree. Hooray!!!
