Nearly Done

Numbers are way done on the fotos, and I'm long since demob happy now so not really caring.

Great to see a veteran team from my previous life turn up. Really nice to see them and chat for 30-40 minutes whilst I was shooting.

But I stopped the day short at 3pm to make sure today's photos go up tonight as I won't have much internet in the next two days, and what I do have I'll need for todays. Guess we'll see how good the wifi at the F1 I'm heading for in France tomorrow night.

This is Mount Ortler, still not really captured that as I'd like, although not really trying. It's very difficult to get that contrast between snow and rock to actually pop out. But Ortler has been my view for the last 12 weeks - sad to leave such a marvellous view.

Interesting tidbit I found on Wiki the other night - the first guy who climbed Ortler - no one believed him. They sent the poor guy up again with a torch. The town folk (I'm assuming either Solda or Trafoi) required him to leave a beacon on top so they know he achieved the climb.
