Night out in the Big City

The Filmhouse offered another classic film tonight with a showing of the Big City the 1963 story of a new and emerging modern India.

Like all Ray's film it takes on big social issues but shows them through the eyes of ordinary people and the music by a young Ravi Shankar pulls it all altogether.

Highly recommended.
