AFTER the RAIN
The huge hydrangea heads were so laden from the heavy rains that they were bent to the ground and the leaves were upside down. This wasp seemed to be looking for something on the underside of the leaves. Maybe he was wondering why they were all wrong side up.
Absolutely no birds at my feeders again today – wish I knew why. For days there was nearly constant activity with at least four varieties, and then all of a sudden – nothing. Perhaps they’ve started to migrate because it’s beginning to feel like fall, but I’d think the chickadees and woodpeckers would still be around. Hmmm…
