It was quite sunny and hot today, so hubby and I drove to the nearby canyon to take a walk in the woods instead of the usual neighborhood walk.
And it was delightful! New sights, sounds, and definitely cooler in the shade of the big trees.
Even so, we stopped for frozen yogurt on the way home.
We used to get pygmy nuthatches at our feeder, but I guess they are all hanging out in the woods now.
