Festival over..

Well, over for us anyway. We saw our last show tonight... EIF's City Noir. Bruch's Violin Concerto was definitely the highlight. City Noir had nothing to do with David Lynch as implied by the programme but the building frenzy in the final third made up for that. Festival City was the least favourite bit; it really didn't evoke the soundscapes of Edinburgh during the festival at all. And the Verdi at the start was beautiful and reminded me of Stella Artois.

We had three toffs behind us who wanted everyone to hear what they thought (which was very inconsequential and contrived) and were rather annoying. What amused me was that they didn't know what eponymous meant (it was in the programme) and couldn't even pronounce it. Hehehe...
