Rustling In The Wind

Although I added the keyword for summer to this image, it feels a lot more like autumn and the weather on our return has come as a bit of a shock.

Mosquitoes are the other noticeable attribute to walking outside here. They are a nuisance now, whereas before we left, they were bearable. I'm putting it down to the lack of insect eating birds, which seem to have deserted us.

At least we have some sunshine and I liked this patch of sneezeweed in the prairie, viewed from the shadow of some aspen trees. It was pretty windy today and the aspen leaves were rustling in the breeze, a sound I always find comforting.
