Another day ...
... another beach! What a life, eh! My regular beach is now padlocked and there's no easy way in, and even if you did get in there are cattle - bold bouncy cattle. But this little beach will do very nicely. A teeny parking space, a scramble across a gate, through some brambly bits and lo and behold you have this view - all to yourself. An unexpectedly glorious day, the weather forecast had been cloud and drizzle, and a lunchtime swim was taken. I swam round the red buoy - quite brave as that part is very seaweedy and who knows what that might contain. Just in case you think I live a total live of ease and leisure, I had already worked quite hard this morning and cleaned the conservatory, including washing the floor, so I deserved a swim and quick sunbathe.
We have friends coming over tonight so cooking has been done. Hummus and breadsticks (himself) to start with, followed by spanokopitta (again, but don't worry these friends haven't had it yet) and a large salad, followed by apple, blackberry and blueberry crumble - all fruit from our garden. Will catch up later.
