Conker Twins

I found a few horse chestnut shells on the ground this morning - including this one with a pair of seeds (conkers) still nestled in part of it. Popped it on to a moss covered log and used the tripod to get a steady shot…it wasn’t as light as it looks in the photograph as I was out before sunrise!

Still some moisture drops on the surface - either rain or dew. It was very damp underfoot first thing.
